Gas and Oil Signs

We do not touch up, spray clear or change the signs in any way unless noted.
Most signs are in "as found" condition and any cleaning and polishing will be left to the buyer.
Just e-mail or call if additional pictures are required!

Note:As you can see from the sold notations we may not have the largest selection ever but we do sell more than anyone. Better buy now they aren't making any more and are getting harder to get! Don't delay. Y'all know how may times I have heard "I should'a.... darn....."

6020021.JPG (819230 bytes) Original ESSO Elephant Kerosene

Here we have another, this one has great gloss and color but a chip, retouched by rear leg. $200
Texaco Marine White

Another rare marine sign. Here we have a Texaco Marine White porcelain sign. Has great color and gloss, however it does have some chipping around some of the mounting holes. particularly 3 and 9 o'clock. No major chipping in the field at all. But does have minor scratching on the face here and there and a tiny chip or two. Check the picture for condition.  An easy touch up. Sign is dated 3/4/47 for 1947. Sign is in great condition for it's age. I'm younger than the sign and wish I was in as good a condition.

We all know where the price of marine/ outboard signs have gone the last few years. At a recent auction a similar sign sold for over $3,700.00! Marine signs are doubling and tripling in value each year. Check out the Autmann Auction of Feb. 4, 2006.

Texaco Sea Chief Marine Pump Plate

Here you go boys, a guaranteed original Texaco Sea Chief marine sign. These were used on gas pumps at marinas. How many marinas sold Texaco, how many sold Sea Chief, how many signs survived? Answer not many! What makes this more remarkable is this sign is N.O.S. (new old stock). It was never mounted to a pump or exposed to the elements. It is a heavy embossed sign. On galvanized metal, not the later flimsy aluminum ones. Guaranteed original. From my private collection. Hate to give it up but, well you know how it goes.... What a chance to own this beautiful rare piece.
$600

Texaco Certified Lubrication

Come and get it! Rare as hen's teeth. 1932 dated Texaco Certified Lubrication PORCELAIN sign. One just went for over $1,200 at auction recently. I will let this beauty go for $950 firm. One chip by X in Texaco as you can see in picture. Large blow up of picture click on the thumbnail.

 standard1.jpg (43294 bytes) Standard

This 30" porcelain sign is in generally good condition. Deep rich colors. Has some pock marking from the factory and some discoloration that I think can be buffed out. Will leave that to the buyer no guarantees that it can. A sign from the 30's. Not that uncommon but a very desireable sign and one hard to find in any kind of shape, usually very rusty and shot out. Priced for quick sale at only sold  remember they don't make them any more and collectors have virtually all that's
out there.
mobilout.jpg (18581 bytes) Mobil Outboard mix

The real thing, seldom seen. The earlier of the 2 Outboard Mix signs. Has the studs on the back, rounded edges. Porcelain sign. 100% guaranteed real! In good shape, see pic. How many gas stations had outboard fuel? How many premixed with the gas? Darn few so a rare sign. Any marine is worth 100% more than a comparable sign. Get this one now, won't last long. The last one I have. $300

This is a one sided sign. In generally good condition with the usual small chips. Bend at bottom was straightened. A great deal at only $750.00 FIRM
woco1.jpg (35836 bytes) Woco Pep

Woco Pep was a forerunner of Pure. A brand from the 1920's and 30's. Usually if you can find this sign they are in horrible shape. This sign was  the best of any I have seen until very recently when a few hit the market. Still a very good sign. Good gloss and color. Some chipping as you can see in the picture. Rust stains will come right off with the proper cleanser. Will leave that to you. 36 X 60" grab this at $995 while you can! I also have a 8 footer if anyone is interested! Would need to pick up the larger sign, call.
